Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villa’s Review
Located in Orlando at Walt Disney World and located near Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is made up of two parts, Jambo House and Kidani Village. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is an African-themed deluxe resort with a forty-three acre wildlife preserve. Here you will be amazed at the animals grazing outside your room as well as the amazing architecture of the whole Animal Kingdom Lodge building – but especially the spacious lobby.
The Jambo House has an amazingly big pool with a great slide your children will love. The bus system will run between each part of the resort, so you will have two stops.
The restaurants located in this resort are amazing. I have not eaten at Saana, but heard good things. The restaurants in Jambo house are some of my all-time favorites: Boma is an amazing buffet with some amazing dishes; Jiko is a signature restaurant with amazing food including their flat breads and the filet with a red wine reduction on macaroni. Jiko is one of my wife’s favorite restaurants in all of Disney.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is located near the Animal Kingdom park, and if this is your favorite park, this resort is for you. If buying into the Disney Vacation Club, I would recommend you stay here to make sure this resort has the right feel for you.
Animal Kingdom Lodge DVC
As another one of the Disney Vacation Club ownership resorts, the Animal Kingdom Lodge has regular rooms as well as Villas which can include a kitchen as well as sleep up to 12 people. With 1 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms, and grand villas – there are accommodations for all sizes of parties.
While beautiful and having some amazing restaurants, the Animal Kingdom Lodge wasn’t for me.I just didn’t like how long it took to get anywhere, and since Animal Kingdom is my least favorite park, I regretted staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge the most.
