Beaches and Cream Review

The Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is located at the Yacht and Beach Club resort in Walt Disney World. The hours of Beaches & Cream are from 11am in the morning to the 11pm at night. Beaches & Cream is a retro style restaurant which is an adaptation of a 1950s soda shop. Food items are reminiscent of foods that would have been on the menu of restaurants during that time.

The décor of Beaches and Cream will also transport you the 1950’s. You will find a jukebox, which has been placed at the restaurant in order to give it that authentic feel. You will find that the grill in the restaurant is active at all times dishing out various meals for its customers. Apart from the grilled items, the milkshakes and ice cream treats found here are a big favorite among many people. You can either have your food inside of  Beaches and Cream or you can decide to pack up it and take it with you.

Lunch and dinner are the two main meals served at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop. A proper three course meal comprising drinks, soups/salads, entrees and desserts can be enjoyed at Beaches and Cream at both meal times. Beer is the only form of alcohol which is available at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop. Various beverages like tea and coffee, iced tea, and lemonade are available, not to mention the various milkshakes that can also be found on the menu. People can also order soft drinks like Coke and Sprite at Beaches and Cream.

The Kitchen Sink

The Beaches and Cream menu for soups and salads consists of Caesar salad, chicken noodle soup and chili. The entrees for both lunch and dinner consist of single and double burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, roast beef subs, turkey sandwiches and veggie burgers. All the Beaches and Cream entrees can be enjoyed with accompaniments like onion rings or French fries.

The largest portion of the menu in Beaches and Cream is the dessert menu. A wide range of desserts have been devised by Disney in order to suit the sweet tooth of people like me. The Beaches chocolate cake, the classic banana split, the hot fudge sundae, the ice cream soda, the usual ice cream sundae and the strawberry shortcake are some of the conventional desserts served here at Beaches and Cream. People can also decide to opt for the conventional milkshakes which have been topped with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry.

The “kitchen sink” is one of the most detailed desserts that can be found on the Beaches and Cream dessert menu. This contains a fusion of the various flavors of ice cream like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee and mint chocolate chip. All the toppings available in Beaches & Cream have been used to make this dessert along with a complete can of whipped cream. The quantity of this dessert is so large that it can feed four people. The No Way Jose is also another famous dessert containing two flavors of ice cream, peanut butter, hot fudge, chocolate morsels, whipped cream and a cherry.

The root beer float is a dessert which normally features on the take away menu. This dessert is also present on the dessert menu. The Beaches and Cream To Go menu is a much shorter version of the dessert menu, containing only the simpler items like malts and shakes, scoops of ice cream, sundaes, banana splits, and floats.

We have made the journey to come here to Beaches and Cream just for the fabulous desserts. Beaches & Cream is a place worth checking out. Just make sure you do some walking to burn all the calories from eating here. Beaches and Cream is a great spot when your looking to satisfy your sweet tooth.
