DVC Discounts - Savings you get with membership

DVC Discounts 225x300 DVC Discounts

DVC Discounts are a perk of buying into the Disney Vacation Club, so when you are looking to buy its natural to be curious about the member’s perks – I know I was. DVC Discounts can come and go at anytime, so don’t plan on having these forever. I wouldn’t factor this in when thinking of buying. There are many DVC Discounts below. This doesn’t include every restaurant, spa treatment, or other DVC Discounts. If you want to see a complete list of DVC Discounts, Contact me and i will update this as there are just so many DVC Discounts.

Often, the Disney World Annual Pass discounts are much better than the DVC Discounts. We usually buy a Premium Annual pass, so the best discount will be the first one you read.

DVC Discounts – Walt Disney World

  • Annual Pass Savings – Save up to $100 for new passes, less for renewals. This is my favorite DVC perk.
  • Shopping Savings
    • Discount At Various Downtown Disney Stores – 10-20%
    • There can be savings at the parks as well as at your resorts. It doesn’t hurt to ask the cashier before you buy.
  • Dining  – 10% Off at many Restaurants
  • Savings at Theme Parks & Hotel Restaurants – 10% Off
  • Recreation Savings
    • Golf 20-40% Depending on time of round
    • Mini Golf 15%
    • Spas & Health Clubs Various Discounts
    • Water Activities
    • Marina Rentals 10%
    • Free Pool Hopping
    • Richard Petty Driving Experience
    • Various Tour Discounts – up to 20% off.
  • Tables in Wonderland- I am told this is now being given to DVC members. This was an card only sold to Florida residents and Annual Pass Holders. We would do this instead of the Disney Dining Plan. This being one of the DVC Discounts, is awesome for all current and future members. What is it? You get a 20% discount on food, but they add on an 18% gratuity, as most would tip this is well worth it.

 DVC Discounts – Other

One of the DVC Discounts not listed here is pool hopping. DVC members have pool hopping privileges at most hotels. The hotels not included are the pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge and the one at the Yacht and Beach Club. All DVC members do have access to Member Services, which can book their rooms, meals, and Disney’s Magical Express. Another of the included DVC Discounts is lower prices on rack rates of hotel rooms if your not staying on points. You will also find that at times within the DVC Discounts  is a discount to the disneystore.com. Right now members get $15 off a purchase of $100 or more and this includes free shipping.

Another one of the DVC Discounts that has just become available to members is the ability to buy the Tables in Wonderland card. This is a dining discount card that you can buy for $100 and has many discounts. Of this DVC Discounts this would be better than the regular dining discount. You get 20% off your ticket, but they do charge an automatic 18% gratuity. Since you would probably give a tip anyways, this card pays for itself. Will will post an article all about this card as well as all the perks you can get by having it.

The DVC Discounts Member perks will come and go, my favorite will always be the Annual Pass discounts. Like I said before, don’t use these as a reason to buy, but as a perk that you get. Hopefully in the future they will release more cool perks. What perks do you think they should release? What perks would entice you to buy?
