Disney World Character Dining

12182009 4 150x300 Disney World Character DiningIf you have children and your thinking about going to Disney World, the different dining options will be a big factor in your decisions.  You will have many options on where to eat as well as the different kinds of experiences you will have. One of the biggest things to decide is if you will want to do Disney World Character Dining. The biggest reason I like to do Disney World Character Dining is since it can save you time while in the parks from standing in lines to have pictures with the characters.

The Disney characters come to your table where you can take a few pictures of them with your children or spouse. The big difference between Disney World Character Dining and meeting the characters at the parks is there won’t be a photo pass photographer in the Restaurants.  So, you won’t get a picture of the whole family with the characters.  You will also need to watch when you will leave the table. Let’s look at some of the Disney World Character Dining restaurants as well as the characters you will see.

Disney World Character Dining at the Disney Park Restaurants

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall – Located in World Showcase in Epcot. Included Characters are Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, Mary Poppins , Princess Aurora , and Snow White. Cinderella makes occasional appearances. They serve Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Crystal Palace – Located in the Magic kingdom.  Included Characters may be; Eeeyore, Piglet, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh. This is a great Disney World Character Dining restaurant to make an early morning reservation. You will get into the park before others and get a chance for some amazing photo’s.

Hollywood & Vine – Located in Hollywood Studio’s. Characters included are Handy Manny, Jake from Jake and the Never Land Pirates, June from Little Einstein’s, and Special Agent OSO. The meals served here are Buffet style. In my opinion, go for the characters as the food inst worth the price.

Tusker House Restaurant – Located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Characters can include Donald, Daisy, Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy – All decked out in Safari wear. Donald is at the door and the Photopass photographer will take pictures of the family with them. This is another good breakfast buffet. Character meals are Breakfast and Lunch. There are no characters at the dinners. This is another Disney World Character Dining restaurant where you get in early and can take some great pictures.

They serve Breakfast & Dinner. No Lunch.
